Mr. Handy is Principal - Civil Engineering at Twin Oaks Consulting, LLC. Prior to his current practice, his engineering experience spans over 30 years with various consulting engineering firms. His engineering expertise was utilized while serving as Mayor for the Township of Blairstown, NJ. He has served on numerous advisory commissions and boards in New Jersey. Mr. Handy has extensive experience in municipal engineering both on the local and county levels having served as Township Engineer for Westfall Township, Pike County, PA and Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, PA as well as performing the Pike County, PA Storm Water Management Act (Act 167) Plan and Analomink Dam Spillway Analysis, Stroud Township, Monroe County, PA. In addition, he managed the Monroe County, PA Bridge Maintenance Program and acted as Assistant Superintendent of Bridges for Warren County, NJ.
On the transportation side he managed such work as New Jersey Turnpike Interchange 1, Toll Plaza Relocation, Deepwater, NJ. The New Jersey Department of Transportation Route 120 By-Pass, Meadowlands, NJ, Northern State Parkway Sound Barriers, Westbury, NY and Long Island Sunrise Highway Extension, Brookhaven Township, along with numerous highway and intersection design projects throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Mr.Handy also has considerable experience in aviation infrastructure with projects such as work for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, for the Teterboro Airport, Continuation of Patrol Road Phase I, and the Teterboro Airport, Pre-Stage I Report on Construction Staging Areas, Moonachie and Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.
Mr. Handy was also involved in complete land development services including rail service to site for Project Independence, Arm and Hammers 1.6M SF manufacturing/warehousing facility on 220 acres in York County, Pennsylvania and provided the site reclamation plan for the Port Elizabeth Brownfield Site in Elizabeth, NJ.
