Design Project: The project included the site design for 1.6 million square foot manufacturing and warehousing industrial complex. Project located on 220 acre site included complete land development services including rail service to site and wastewater pump station. The project tasks included the internal site grading (including visual buffer design), permit applications, roadway design, drainage design, coordinating the geotechnical work (limestone intrusions on part of site) and parking lots for employee parking and trailer storage.

Tobyhanna Army Depot Radar Relocation Site (two sites on the base), Tobyhanna, PA
Owner: U.S. Department of Defense

Design Project: The U.S. Marines donated a radar system to the U.S. Army for testing purposes. The radar system required relocation from a west coast base to a new facility to be built at the Tobyhanna Army Depot. The project design included the internal roadway, the concrete radar dome pads, the radar support buildings and utility runs.

Brownfield Site, Elizabeth, NJ
Owner: City of Elizabeth, NJ

Design Project: The project consisted of two phases to reclaim a Brownfield in the Port Elizabeth portion of the City. In the first phase of the project, the civil engineer worked in conjunction with the City of Elizabeth, Jay Cashman, Inc. Heavy Civil Construction and the environmental engineer to develop an old chemical plant into a dredge material off-loading and processing plant. The second phase of the design is to develop the remaining portion of the site to house an office building. The design project included the internal site grading, roadway design, drainage design, coordinating the geotechnical work and the storage pads for the processed dredge material.

Design Project: Our project components consisted of the conceptual design of a 288 acre multi-use commercial (big box and downtown center zones), residential (single family, downtown center and age-restricted complexes), recreational project (minor league baseball stadium, soccer / baseball / softball complex) on abandoned mine land site. Scope of work included civil design (reclamation, parcel layout, road and utility infrastructure), conceptual plans based on the initial opportunities / constraint analysis and traffic design related to limited-access highway.  The other project team members provided financial analysis, marketing analysis and community outreach services.

Middlesex County Long Term Care Facility, Old Bridge, Middlesex County, NJ

Design Project: The 14.8 acre site design for a 180 bed Long Term Care Facility. The proposed site development included a 27,769 SF four story building and associated parking area. In addition to the standard site development tasks preparation of the Base Survey Drawing and Construction Documents for the site development and utility infrastructure design were included. An “off-site” improvement for a 1,236 LF 8-inch gravity sewer that traversed both Township and County Roads was also designed for this project. The Engineer assisted the Client in obtaining the necessary permits from NJDEP and other agencies in a timely manner.

Design Project: The developer desired to place a 2 (two) story residential type building on a 0.17 acre lot. The site design included the associated 4 (four) car parking area and driveway, (both utilizing permeable pavement), a storm water collection system to infiltrate the roof runoff, and the sanitary sewer extension and the house connection.

Community Park Soccer Complex, Hazle Township, PA

Design Project: Hazle Township through their Recreation Department joined with the Greater Hazleton Youth Soccer Association to develop a soccer complex at the Hazle Township Community Park. As Township Secondary Engineer a seven field soccer field complex was designed and developed along with a walking/running track surrounding one field. Five fields were constructed in the initial phase. Tasks included site layout, grading plans, storm water drainage plan, internal roadways, survey, permitting and wetland investigation.

Elias Restaurant Parking Lot Improvements and Septic Design, Columbia, NJ

Design Project: Designed an on-site septic system for the existing 52 seat restaurant and adjoining residence. The septic system exceeded the maximum of 2,000 gals per day; therefore the design was submitted to the NJDEP for review and approval. Grading and drainage design associated with the paving of the gravel parking lot was also provided.

Camp Akiba Development Plan, Monroe County, PA

Conceptual Design Project: Provided conceptual design for development of 250 acre recreational / residential redevelopment of original Pocono Mountain camp site. The design tasks started with a wastewater alternatives analysis to determine areas available for placement of residential lots to be served by a community wastewater treatment system using on-lot drip or spray irrigation in lieu of stream discharge. Upon determination that sufficient property was available for wastewater effluent disposal a wastewater treatment plant was designed and the lot plans were developed for evaluation by the owners.
