Studies and Permitting
Stillwater Sewer Corporation I/I Study, Stillwater Lakes, PA
Report: Performed an Infiltration / Inflow analysis of the collection system to determine sources of excess flows.
Stillwater Sewer Corporation Act 537 Special Study, Stillwater Lakes, PA
Permitting: Performed an Act 537 Special Study to indicate replacement of the existing collection / conveyance system would allow additional EDUs to be recovered for use.
Westfall Municipal Authority Alternatives Analysis, Westfall Township, PA
Study: Performed an alternative analysis for utilizing effluent spray irrigation for wastewater disposal in lieu of stream discharge.
Westfall Municipal Authority Flow Increase Docket, Westfall Township, PA
Permitting: Received a new Docket from the Delaware River Basin Commission to increase the discharge flow from the existing WWTP by 500,000 GPD into a Special Protection Waters portion of the Upper Delaware River. DRBC accepted use of advanced wastewater treatment technology to provide equivalent mass loading of BOD and suspended solids into the river as at the existing permitted flow.

Study: Evaluated spray and drip irrigation alternatives and designed a wastewater effluent spray irrigation system for a Pocono Camp.
Fertility Pump Station, Lancaster, PA
Study: Evaluated replacement of line-shaft wastewater transfer pumps with submersible motors based on life-cycle maintenance costs.
Research
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Designed and conducted oxygen transfer testing of centrifugal oxygenator. The testing was based on the then proposed ASCE Standard for "Measurement of Oxygen Transfer in Clean Water."
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Conducted pure oxygen injection testing into Company's centrifugal oxygenator at Lakeland, FL and Hazleton, PA. Testing was to determine the oxygen transfer efficiency obtainable by the centrifugal oxygenator into both clean water and raw wastewater.
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Conducted hydrogen peroxide injection testing into Company's centrifugal oxygenator at Ft. Lauderdale, FL and North Myrtle Beach, SC. Testing was to determine the transfer efficiency obtainable by the centrifugal oxygenator into raw wastewater as an odor control strategy.
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Designed and conducted "in-situ" oxygen mass transfer testing for submerged turbine aerator. The testing utilized the ASCE Standard for "Measurement of Oxygen Transfer in Clean Water."
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Developed a coal beneficiation system that takes low BTU value coal fines, <2,000 BTU and through gravity separation and screening produces a medium range BTU coal, >8,500 BTU, for sale. The process received a British Patent.
Hazleton Pumps, Hazleton, PA
Research Project: Conducted hydraulic capacity testing of hydraulic jett mixer used for Acid Mine Water treatment and supervised design changes to create greater aspirated air flows through the equipment.
